On-Farm Food Loss Measurement
We are wasting 40% of the food we produce—with over 1 billion tonnes of food lost on farms alone globally. It's increasingly important that actors across the food supply chain come together to measure and collaborate on strategies to reduce this loss.

As part of its No Food Left Behind series, World Wildlife Fund is hosting a discussion about a practical tool and approach for measuring the amount of food left in the field and at other stages of a grower's operation. Join us to hear from several U.S. growers along with food loss and waste experts.

You'll learn how easy it is to use this Food Loss Calculator (hosted by the Stewardship Index for Speciality Crops), which empowers growers and buyers to first understand how much and why produce is "left behind."

The data collected helps growers assess on-farm management practices, and lays a foundation for collaborating on ways to generate additional revenue, donate surplus food, and identify new innovative products to help build a more efficient food system.
